He completed a Senior Music Degree specialising in Piano at the “Victoria Eugenia” Royal Senior Conservatory in Granada in Antonio Sánchez Lucena’s chair, with Honours. This solo career has taken him round the world. In addition to his national and international recital activity, he is a regular solo guest with orchestras, and a founding member of the Andalusian Contemporary Ensemble. He has also recorded for Spanish Television, Spanish National Radio and Bulgarian National Television. Ambrosio Valero has won numerous national and international prizes, such as First Prize in the Soloists Competition at the “Ángel Barrios” Professional Conservatory in Granada and in the Soloists Competition at the “Victoria Eugenia” Royal Senior Conservatory in Granada. He holds the National “Manuel de Falla” Prize and that for the “Ciudad de Albacete” National Piano Competition where he won all the prizes awarded, for the best interpretation of the music of Beethoven, of Chopin, the best interpretation of Spanish Music, in addition to the First Prize. He has also received awards from the Cervantes Institute and in a variety of competitions such as the “Marisa Montiel” National Piano Competition, the “Ciudad de Campillos”, “Delia Steimberg”, “Ibiza”, “Rotary Rotaract” and “Frechilla-Zuloaga” International Piano Competitions, and won the Medal, Special Prize, for the interpretation of the works of Mompou and the Special Prize for the best classified Spanish pianist in the “María Canals” International Piano Competition in Barcelona.
